In Praiano a legend is linked to the procession of Saint Luca, protector of the village.

It is said that in the past, when the statue of the Saint arrived near a street called “moressa”, the sacred simulacrum became so heavy that people who brought it were not able to bring it further, but then a fisherman arrived and with the same strong tone through which he led his subordinated fishermen, he shouted to the Saint to proceed and in this way the statue became again light and the procession could carry on.
