The most known tradition by Minoresi is the one linked to the retrieval of their saint patron body, S. Trofimena.

This martyr Saint, who had her origin in Sicily, and precisely in Patti, after being killed was fund back on Minori litoral in a chest, brought here by flowings, and people from Minori made bring it by two heifers.

Where the heifers stopped the church which welcomed the saint mortal remains was built and since then she became patron saint of the coast centre.
